This is a lot better than the default messaging app from Google. It’s far more user-friendly, the size of UI elements is more efficient and the capability to personalize the UI is superior to other apps. The only problems I’ve encountered to be concerned about are: 1)) it is not possible to save your settings when you reset your phone or buy another phone or upgrade, and two) with the Google Pixel 6 Pro, approximately 1/3 of the time you get a “sent” notification does not appear, and I need to manually delete it into the notification space. It’s not a huge issue however I would prefer that they could be fixed.

A great application. I’ve used for a long time and have always enjoyed it. However, over the past few months it has not been functioning. Most of the time, the notification badge isn’t working. In the rare event that it does work, the badge displays 99+. The notifications on the lock screen and sound don’t work as well. Therefore, I don’t be aware of new messages to check. It’s very annoying. I could give it a one rating, but it’s worked throughout the past few times…

I was a fan of this application for many years. It was among my top three that I felt I needed to pay for! It’s still a great app with amazing customizations, but there are now “glitches” (?) I’m unable to find to get the “enter” button to work regardless of what I’ve tried. It’s probably a bit crazy to send four messages to communicate my point using just one “Enter”/ “new line” is working in other ways in the standard apps, but not in this version. In addition, notifications do not always pop up, and even if they appear, they’re the incorrect amount. Hope this is a quick fix. I’ll continue to try at my own end!

I’ve played with a variety of SMS/MMS applications, but I keep returning to this app. I’ve been enjoying Textra for a while and am currently. It’s quick, reliable and flexible, as well as offering stunning colors and a variety of alternatives to calm the wild creature within your. 4 stars is the only reason because stickers, gifs or other media won’t be able to pass through and I would like ways to access the fun stuff from various sources, in a single click. That would be 5 stars with no doubt.

Recently I’ve not been able to upload pictures. If it is possible, take at most 2 or 3 minutes. Sometimes, it will say that the image has not been sent, however the person I gave the picture to states that they have received the image. From my perspective, all I see are three green dots trying to send, and then it doesn’t send. I then select to try sending it again, but often it will send twice? Therefore, I’m not certain if I actually sent the image whether or not or even how many times. Please assist.

I’m an actual person and don’t write reviews on a regular basis however I cannot recommend Textra enough. It’s got everything you can possibly need in a sleek and customizable text messaging app. I like the look as well as the feel as well as the many useful and efficient options. The timed text is a powerful tool. I keep myself informed of future reminders every day, much easier than going to Google Help. This is exactly what third party apps are all about. This is the reason you own the Android phone. Get Textra

We still have Textra 2 phones and many years after that. Still very satisfied with it. The app is one that keep up to date with updates, however doesn’t compromise it . I tested the app that came with my phone and it told me that there were that there were too many unsent mms, therefore I was unable to send any additional. Where were they, so I could remove them? Then I had to download a brand new app. Textra is so superior that I instantly deleted both of my old applications. It is flawless and has many more features. It is flawless every time.

A great app with solid personalization, however, it is lacking the most important aspects. Its inability of archiving messages the main reason why it is not a good choice. In addition, the absence of in-browser messaging suggests that Google Messages has a solid advantage over Textra. The main benefit here is the ability to customize, but it’s a bit topical. I couldn’t achieve the minimalist look I was hoping for.

I like Textra because I can customize my contacts using colors and notifications. The ability put a date in order to stop a text prior to sending has stopped many texts from sending out with spelling mistakes or omissions. The texting application that comes with phones sends GIFs when you press them. Textra will not send until you decide to click send. I was so impressed that I’m willing to purchase the app in order to remove the advertisements.

I’ve been using this application for a long time (Pro Version) and have been enjoying its numerous themes and customization options. It’s so good that I’ve downloaded it for my children too. Recently, my notifications appear to be in error. I’m not seeing notifications at all when I lock my phone, despite setting my preferences to send them as it ought to. There are instances when I receive multiple messages, but only find out that when I launch the text application at random. Finally, I’d like suggest an additional feature that is called fontt styles. The idea is to have the option of using italics and BOLD.

I am a huge fan of Textra. I consider it to be one of the top text messaging apps that’s available. However, since the most recent update, pictures messages aren’t always flowing without a hitch. When I’m at home, for instance, I switch off mobile data and depend on WiFi. Prior to the update, when someone would send me a picture message , I received an automatic message from Textra telling me to switch on my mobile data in order to download the picture , which I was fine with, at least I was aware of. However, now Textra isn’t doing this now. Please fix

This is the most amazing messaging app you’ve ever used! I absolutely love it. I can customize ringtone and color for each contact/conversation. And I love having many settings options. Thank you for this, guys. The issue I’ve had has been using Android phones. I have prepaid phones, and with each phone I struggle against the sound and notifications to keep my textra on. I’m not a fan of sending a heads-up text. But without that, notifications flow more smoothly. And I’ve required re-reading all hues with every Android since it changed the same color

Somehow, I’m experiencing huge delays when receiving messages from MMS using Textra. I’ve tried every solution suggested, but with no any success. Since I’m a paying user, I thought I could get a reply to my emails (one about two weeks ago) and another one week since, but have not received a response. Is there a solution to this issue? If there were an option to backup to my settings at present, I’d uninstall the program, and then reinstall it. The question was asked within one of my email messages. Any answer would be helpful.

I like this application because it’s a competent alternative to Samsung’s or Google’s. However, please remove the identify of the sender/receiver bubbles (usually initials) in the text. They are IMO frustrating because they take up space on the screen and don’t give important information (sender left and right for receiver). I’m removing one star due to having to switch apps each time I want to send videos, which isn’t often, but it’s been missing for a while and other non-essential features are added.

Best texting app I’ve found. It’s better than the stock apps for all the phones I’ve seen to date. The only issue is that I am unable to send videos. I’ve tried to find a solution but haven’t succeeded. My boss has asked me to contact him via txt rather than Snapchat which means it will not be able to go away and he has evidence. I’ll need to look for another solution soon if I cannot fix it. Edit: It worked, I believe. Haven’t sent a message however it did let me make it to this level. Need to pass it on to Textra

Excellent text app. The free version has ads however they aren’t overly annoying. Change the rating to 3 stars. The most recent auto update of Textra has disabled the capability to open links in text. Support has stated that this happens on certain phones. I had to uninstall the latest version and then install the previous version.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Textra. I love the option that I can set up the sending of a text at a later date in particular as I am an early riser. I’ve noticed something begin in the last few days that’s marginally irritating. After I’ve read a book the text will show up in the next day’s log as not read. It’s not a major issue but it is annoying.
