I was a fan of and loved this app for years , but in the past couple of years, it’s been a mess to the point that it’s painful for me. When texts do not go through, or indicate that they did not send and you get an answer to confirm that it was sent. Then finding out that the same message was sent three times or more is embarrassing! Particularly when we are using our phones to jobs these days. Fix it, if not, I’ll need to delete the app completely.

The ability to remove or add users to chat is a must. I’m not a fan of the limitations of this app to offer from Google however it’s one of the top custom-built text apps( We’ve lost some useful features due to Google). However, the ability to remove and add participants from chat groups is an ever-popular feature. It’s a standard feature on the stock Android (on the Samsung S10+ at least). Is there any chance that it will ever be available?

I really like this app. The only downside is that there’s instances when I don’t receive messages immediately when you send me a text message and get it, and then return it. This appears to wake it back up and the message flow is working again until it goes to sleep again. However, I do not be able to tell if it’s sleeping or if I’m really not receiving any messages. It’s not clear until I send a text message on my own and it doesn’t work.

Things I am most grateful for… The things I love… service does not allow more than 10 people to be part of an SMS conversation, however Textra permits multiple. I can make an account in my contacts , and Textra lets me send an additional message to the group without adding each person separately. My day starts at 5 AM, but most people are not awake at that time. I am awestruck that I can set up texts to be sent later. The only thing that could make it better are spam control and new messages not being too big and bold. Thank you so much for this awesome application!

I love textra because it’s multi-functional and includes several of the features that I used to use in Message + as an Verizon customer. But I would like if the app had a scheduled messaging feature. I work late and frequently need to make sure that I send messages to people for the following day, to make sure I don’t get them. This feature could be very helpful.

I am not happy when an option pops up whenever I click on links. When I click on an link, I only need to click it. I can then share or copy it without the need for this additional step. Edit: I have received a email requesting me to update my review following an email response. This response doesn’t change my feelings about this feature. Do people really click enough that it is essential? What is your individual accountability? I’ve been using textra since the year 2016 but haven’t clicked on a link. Nor could I be blamed for the app for it if I did.

After contacting them with my concerns about the UI for emoticons, they basically stated that there’s no way to get it accomplished. It was a great application however, at the moment they’re only making changes in the name that of “having updates”, even when the changes aren’t desired or, more importantly, functional or useful. I think I’ve gotten my money’s worth over the last few years, but I’ll be looking for an updated SMS app soon.

What time is it that desktop versions are scheduled to launch? This is the only thing I’m missing that’s not the perfect messaging app for me. I don’t want to make use of the Google messages app or on the internet. I’ve tried pushbullet mysms and mightytext, but none of them are appropriate for my needs. Overall, this app is great. I’m just looking for a web-based interface that does not have qr scans of codes, instead synchronizing through an email accounts. We would appreciate your feedback if you have a web-based user interface that that you are developing.

I really like this app. My only issue is the absence of RCS support. It is believed that it was planned at some point back, yet it is not yet been implemented. Are we likely to see RCS in the near future? Thank you for explanation. I’ll have to wait until the next time to test Google. For now, I’ll use Textra.

I’m going to have to find a texting app that doesn’t go away each time I reboot my phone. Yes, I deleted and restarted it, then reinstalled it, did not change one setting and it’s still doing it. It’s unfortunate because it’s a great app. It seems that after years and a lot of complaints on the internet it would have been a good idea to correct this issue. …. In response to your question”No, I just stated that I reinstalled the phone, and did not alter any setting. Each time I reboot my device, Textra has gone. As with many others.
