This app is usually fun. The ads are understandable, because the company needs to make money. However, I recently noticed that videos no longer automatically set their quality to 1080p or 720p (if 720 is too high for that particular video). I am compelled to enter my living quarters and change the quality manually, where the app must automatically detect when it has the necessary means of streaming high quality. The most recent revision has also caused a common crash.
Usually a good app. It does what it says it does. The problem I had as a creator was that every day on YouTube was like a groundhog day. Suppose I find 12 subscribers. The next day they will be completely gone without the details that they have found them at all. I would be very happy if you could fix this. Thank you!
Too many ads, especially in 5 minute or short videos. I used to work hard not to watch ads by jumping further than where the ads were placed, as noted by the yellow tabs in the video progress bar, but now those tabs are gone so I don’t know where the ads are in the video which means I can’t “skip” them. I refuse to advertise, so I think it’s time to uninstall this app and only look at the desktop where the adblock works.
It’s good for content, but it’s disappointing that it can no longer be reliably streamed from my Samsung phone to my Samsung TV. Just moments of trying to find devices. Not sure what has changed anytime soon, but there is no guide to how to resolve it. Update July 2021: this bug seems to have been resolved in a recent update. It requires that the YouTube app (unchanged for years) on TV first be operational, which has never been the case, but then appears to work as expected.
Its a great program, but there are endless ads. This is really annoying !! I find that the practice is epidemic- But- Is that really the need for money? .. Anyway … I would like to suggest a next update !! Maybe add a chat feature for YouTube users and their subscribers !! With this feature, It’s easy to talk to YouTube users privately !! It would be a very high point in my opinion! The rest of the idea is yours !! (Please read this! Or maybe not)
YouTube is no longer shutting down on my tv after a long period of inactivity. With automatic play, it should stop 10 minutes after the last video has finished and is closed. It would help if you recovered that. I also liked when the lounge screen was clear, not a solid gray bar, so I could see the screen under it. Usually I have to pause videos to read the screen and I don’t want when half the screen is covered.
If there is an option, I will give it a 0 star. A good job of clearing the bar with no money so I never guess when I will skip ads. Also, in my download section, if I just deleted a few of the videos I watched. Do not automatically scroll down the video suggestions below. It’s very annoying, I know which video and which one you prefer. I’ll check if you have to. Remove that part.
I don’t like how you can’t automatically skip ads. Because I want to listen to music and not see a 3 minute ad, sometimes I get a 4 hour ad and I leave my phone and come back 20 minutes later, it’s the same ad, I want to listen to music without long ads, if I’m interested, then I’ll check it out but then i listen to music to focus on it, the ad breaks what is focused on it and i have to skip the ad and maybe lose full focus for a while. Let people see how many things they dislike.
This review has changed as new challenges have pushed me further along the wall. The actual review was 3 stars, then they got 4 stars, now 2 stars. They get 2 stars because their search engine, or set in affiliates, continues to deliver things that don’t match what you were looking for. Most of the time the 3+ video titles I see are not the same as what I typed. On top of all that, they added extra unnecessary additions without the skip button.
