We are glad to see that it’s true that Spotify controls are back in operation following the last update. Another feature that got out of reach in the last couple of years was the capability to press the green box on the top of the screen to show what you’re going to do next. But, I used to be able to tap or swipe it down to see my next 3 moves which was extremely useful when working in my field. Particularly in downtown Chicago it’s helpful to be able to see a few steps ahead, and not constantly reach at my smartphone.

Recent modifications to Google maps are a disaster. The app used to be extremely simple and quick to use, however the new format is extremely complicated and cumbersome. The app is now harder to enter the destination you wish to visit, and there are additional steps needed to update information or quit the application. It’s hard to tell who believed these changes were helpful and I’d prefer to change back to the old design in a heartbeat. Navigation and directions remain useful.

I utilized Google maps to return back home from my vacation. It provided me with a number of choices to travel. I selected one. It kept switching me to another route, which required tolls. It would ask me to choose a faster route, and if I did not select “no” (because I didn’t notice it while driving) it would then switch to another route. I drove the wrong way twice due to this feature that was a joke and added an hour to my already 10 hour journey.

Google Maps used to be great, but the app has been incredibly unstable. It displays the car moving at the wrong speed even when it’s not. It also tries to navigate the user through zones of construction and offers me routes that are very inconvenient and the directions on the voice don’t line with those on the map (visual) instructions. I’m hoping Google returns to how it was prior to that. Additionally, it won’t allow you to alter the marking in the event of a construction, or speed traps for instance. It puts it randomly and you aren’t able to correct it.

It is OK. I generally drive on a toll route to get home from work, and then program my destination regardless of the exact location. While I’m driving on a toll road Google Maps insists on redirecting me since it’s “lost”. This can be a hassle. Apple carplay also is a superior interface with their navigation. What is the reason Google hasn’t develop a solution that allows me to listen to my music and see my map at once. It’s a bit disorienting to switch between screens when driving.

I enjoy Google Maps and it’s my preferred GPS system. However, the recent glitches make it difficult to utilize. When you switch from a the full-screen mode to a tiny window, the usual navigational directions are gone and it is stuck in the map, providing no direction at all. This can be a problem especially when driving, since I must completely restart my phone in order for the app to function. Help!

The voice guidence simply doesn’t function anymore. It is now difficult to navigate around. ……. OK, following the advice and the voice guidence works again. I haven’t changed the settings and I’m not sure what caused it to change. Overall, the app has never created an issue and always helped me get to where I wanted to be. It is one of my most utilized and valuable applications.

The app has seen a significant improvement throughout the years however, if it is less complicated and less cluttered it’ll be five-star. Additionally, it is somewhat frustrating and glitchy since the last time, especially when you use the three-button navigation, which occasionally doesn’t appear after you quit the navigation mode in the application. However, overall it’s fantastic.

After the latest update, the one prior to June’s end. Google Maps has had numerous issues. I have to flip my phone upside down to the start button. The problem is that if the phone is far from the top and bottom of the screen it won’t function. Sometimes, the app glitches out, and I must completely restart it. There are many other issues. I would hate to change GPS, when I’ve been using this for the past several years on an constant basis and am familiar with it inside and out

Excellent product, however it’s difficult to evaluate results based on stars. I depend on the rating to decide on the best places to go however, at present you must click into each result individually to view the rating. One simple solution is to display the star rating on the view of results. It is a good idea to consider this as a feature enhancement!

Overall, I am satisfied with the utility of this app to meet the things I require. Today, we traveled and I was completely amazed. Google provides us with a range of possibilities of search results such as gas stations, restaurants hospitals, and so on. Why is there no possibility to find rest stop locations? Yes, I can type that and it suggests it. It should be an available service choice for searching.
