REVIEW :

I really enjoy the set up of the program, it is also user easy for inviting people to a “meet”.

Like any app wifi/cell service alter the quality from time to time.

Overall, I appreciate the human contact it enables me through a technology and suggest it for chats with friends and family, near and distant.

It works like a charm and both voice and video quality are fantastic, as long as you have more than 1 bar.

I deducted a star simply because I can’t discover an option to adjust quality, video size, bit rate or any other way to solve the difficulties when the “other caller” is distant from internet and has low bars.

I understand why it would be tough but adding the ability to “pinch zoom” or a quality/size slider to minimize the video size required from the sender would be extremely great to avoid stuttering.

Audio cuts off a lot for some reason.

It’s done that with every phone I’ve had.

I always end up going to Facebook Messenger which works wonderfully with no audio cut outs.

I’ll probably keep with them permanently for sometime.

EDIT (8/23/22): Audio quality has been improved.

Not as choppy as before.

Still occurs once in a while though.

Good app.

My wife and I use it to call each other while traveling worldwide.

We can use text and data when traveling, but not phoning.

We have T-Mobile.

Duo utilizes data, thus it allows us to call without extra expenses and penalties.

We attempted video calling a couple times.

The quality was merely OK.

When we used it for voice only conversations, the quality was incredibly superb, indistinguishable from cell phone calls.

Voice uses far less bandwidth than visual.

Overall, it is worth it.

I have been missing video calls.

It never rings.

I’ve going to settings under the app and phone.

I’m not sure what else to do.

When it comes to the video quality it’s amazing, sounds clear and appreciate the emoticon interaction.

But pls assist on the bell so I can get my calls?

Love being able to chat to my hubby and see his face since he’s gone.

Makes it feel like he’s home and it works for us!

Just wish if your phone number changed it would update without manually having to do it.

Took us forever to figure out why none of our calls were coming through.

Also needing to have somebody in contacts is something of a bother since it’s not always his phone he calls from so then we have to make sure it’s preserved in each other’s contacts and then for him removed after.

This is a continuing learning experience for me.

For now, I find it lot simpler to be a recipient in calls than an initiator since I still have to learn a little more in feeling comfortable with the virtual experience, especially when vulnerable as well as the mechanics.

All in all, calls are clear and seldom freeze.

Almost as nice as conversing with a person in a real setting.

A decent phone makes for a better experience.

Freezing is the one issue that can be frustrating, especially if it drops the call.

I adore Duo and it’s my go to video caller, But for some reason the ringtone is the same as my SMS alerts!

With no means to change it.

This is a tremendous hassle, I barely ever hear it or pay attention to it.

I use Duo quite regularly, my partner is out of state thus this is the best thing we have to remain in touch.

I often miss her calls due of this issue.

Why can’t we have the ability to alter the ringtone.

The developers instantly aided me with my issue, issue addressed!

Duo used to be excellent.

Then for some reason calls are not ringing in.

Only a missed call message displays.

I assumed migrating to Meet “would” fix this however it stays the same.

Been thru all the setup choices and still no success.

Saw others having the same issue also.

Please repair for those who genuinely do appreciate the Duo / Meet convenience.

Great software for video calling!

I love this app a ton, and is incredibly handy for when Im a great distance from home, and desire see my family again!

And I cant stress it enough, but the QUALITY of the video calls!

Just just begun using this app and it’s quite excellent so far.

I was still using Skype before this and the video calls simply keeps buffering and it got bothersome.

So I was hunting for an alternative or replacement and discovered this pre-installed program and never knew anything about it.

Just out of curiosity,I open the app and tested it out.

Video calls are always smooth and connects fast, I strongly suggest this app for videos calls.

It’s normally extremely clear, it can become a touch choppy at times, but that’s probably a connection issue.

I’ve never really ran across any difficulties with this.

My kids use it on their non active phones to keep in touch while WiFi is available.
