The fact that they included a “send to…” context action to Android’s share menu is basically the only reason I felt compelled to give this app five stars, even though I don’t usually rate apps. It may seem minor, but thanks to this one tiny feature, I can quickly snap a photo on my phone and drop it into the networked folder on my work computer. Again, it may seem unimportant, but this app is packed with clever little design details that make it incredibly easy to use.

I don’t see any advertisements because I have the Pro version. How grateful I am for this app and how simple it is to use cannot be overstated. I frequently oversee my own home server, a number of PCs, and family members’ computers. From my phone, I can manage our data and share files with ease in ways that I couldn’t before. The built-in file browser on my phone is also terrible, and this improves that. Well worth the money!

Although the software itself functions really well, it frequently forgets that I paid for it. The program updated at least three times and then determined I was using the free trial version rather than the full version. They constantly fail, and I have to reinstall the software and start over with my settings. It occurs frequently enough that I’m considering using a different program.

I don’t want to give this app a bad review and won’t give it one star, but I need a patch in order to keep using it. It fails at launch. After being reinstalled, it ran through the welcome screen and permission request before displaying a file list until I selected Connection Manager. It then crashed and continues to crash whenever I launch. Please update this fantastic software; there may be a change.

It is an excellent file explorer that works well and has many features. I appreciate that it offers the option to hide folders from other apps so that they cannot view them or use.noname files. The list of options is extensive and includes the ability to readily check which files are taking up a lot of space, create ftp connections, and copy the paths of the folders.

Since the most recent update, every time I unlock my tablet, Android keeps asking me if I want to use Solid Explorer to handle “Pad.” I have no idea what “Pad” is because I haven’t connected any storage or other devices to my tablet, so I have no idea what it is. When I switch on my Android TV, the same thing occasionally occurs, but under a different name that I can’t recall. Maybe it’s my hard drive, which is always plugged in to record TV. I had to delete Solid Explorer since the dialog boxes were so bothersome.
