It would have been a 5 star review if it didn’t decide to identify itself with my secondary Google account every couple of months and forget that I had already purchased the app from the Google Play store.

To get it to register with my primary account again, I had to uninstall it, delete it from my history, and then reinstall it from a PC.

The fact that I have many storage locations set up in Storage Manager and have to recreate them would not be a big concern.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to fix this without having to resort to a workaround?

This is an excellent software in general, especially if you are using it on a phone with two screens.

Full-size images and videos would be useful, as would the ability to choose multiple images and videos for deletion and/or relocation.’

Since it was released, I’ve been using it as a replacement for another program that was no longer available.

I docked one star since there is space for improvement on the part of the author.

Even though some functions, such as renaming files, are a little counter intuitive, the overall experience is positive. I recently began using the built-in FTP server to transfer files from my local Wi-Fi network to my desktop computer. It was simple to use, and the only drawback was that I had to download a program in Windows called FileZilla.

It deserves 5 stars if it weren’t for some issues where it would prevent me from pushing a file because the local server was reporting that it didn’t have enough storage (when in reality there was a 320GB HHD attached, and I was trying to put the files there rather than on the actual server size which was the boot USB which was 4GB and already full, yeah please add a bypass feature, when you paste it there it’ll just say “not enough space, try to transfer anyway?”)

Having used this file manager for many years and on dozens of different machines, I can say that it has never failed me.

I’m never inclined to look for a replacement for anything I’ve lost interest in.

In addition to nova and lastpass, it’s one of the first programs I download.

Wonderful programmer; wonderful application.

Changes are likely to be made after it is determined what was causing it to forget that an SD card was present after files were transferred to it.

It happened again after a reboot.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the SD card was no longer visible and could no longer be used.

The SD card is not recognized after reinstalling.

On the Onyx theme, the black accent color should be changed to white accent color.

File multiselection has been problematic on many smartphones for months (at least since v2.8.3) — when the first file is selected, tapping to choose the next file opens the next file instead.

Because of this, the app is barely useful at all.

Android 11 is developed by the Open Handset Alliance (AOSP).

On a device running Android 10, the same thing happened.

I’m in desperate need of assistance!!

When I copy a file from internal storage to SD card using Solid Explorer, the file becomes “0” byte even though it has permission to read/write or permission granted…however, when I copy a file from internal storage to SD card using default file manager, the file becomes “0” byte…my SD card is not corrupted…

3 for the time being, 5 for the future.

There is no support for SMB3 in this version.

The ability to automatically play the next audio file from a folder would be a game changer.

It would be fantastic if there was support for checksum files.

Despite this, it provides practically everything I require in a file manager for my needs.

It is the most crucial program on my phone, second only to my web browser, because of its faultless Dropbox, FTP, and local network connectivity.

Congratulations to the developers.

At ten times the cost of the free edition, the paid version is a steal.

Solid Explorer has created folders on the SD Card holding files with zero bytes as a result of the most recent upgrade!

Together with the fact that this software now requires permission to access advertising ID and to run at start-up since version 2.8.17, this behavior is reminiscent of malware and should be viewed with caution!

As a power user who has been using Solid Explorer on a regular basis for years, I am not confident in the app’s functionality after version 2.8.16. (which is side-loaded and auto-update for Solid Explorer turned off).
