Netflix intends for their apps to be horrible (and if they aren’t, they are still bad). In particular, I’m writing this review because the program switches to the next episode without providing a clear choice to continue the currently playing episode. Also, why is it necessary to make that decision in only 5 seconds? I have hardly had time to respond, unlock, and make a decision before it is time to cut to the next episode, bypassing the post-credit scenes. This is one of the reasons why I prefer Hulu or Crunchyroll.

You should genuinely give out information on all of the new shows, series, movies, and other things that will be introduced if you are going to raise the price of the subscription. When I logged into my account, a message about the new payment price appeared when I selected one of the other alternatives. It just displayed the pricing for the visual quality of the content available on Netflix, and it made no mention of any additional content that might be available in the future. Before releasing anything, I recommend double-checking that everything matches everywhere.

Using it is unnecessarily tough to do. On a regular basis, I’m faced with the decision of which episode to watch. For some reason, at the end of practically every episode, it tries to return me back to the beginning of the prior episode. Whenever you finish an episode, it is nearly impossible to revisit that episode for whatever reason after you’ve finished watching it for the first time. Customer service is HORRENDOUS!!! I was presented with a black screen and audio. They have this really pointless new function where if you require technical support, they will create a chat and lie about it being a problem with your phone rather than simply stating, “we have no idea,” like they previously did. It’s clear they’re aware it’s the app because they’ve dedicated a whole troubleshooting page to it, which includes the normal “upgrade the app and restart your device” advice. If that doesn’t work, the problem must be with your device because it can’t be with theirs. With an eye roll, I’ll say it. You’re completely on your own.

The question of whether we are still watching after a show or movie has been played for 10 minutes is puzzling. It’s truly a huge source of frustration. I’ll put on a program for myself or my children, and then after 10 minutes, the children will say it has stopped again and inquire as to whether we are still watching. Netflix is a service I enjoy using because it includes fantastic episodes and movies, however there is one element that makes me give it a low grade. If this is resolved, I’ll be happy to provide 4 stars.
