REVIEW :

It’s a good task management program, a little bit hard to get at first with the bizarre natural language based task creation, but if you’re willing to put in the work it’s quite straightforward.

The one significant deal breaker for me is that if you have a daily repeating assignment it gets overdue at midnight.

If you tap it complete after midnight, it completes it for the following day which ends up with you missing a day unless you remember to do it on your own or manually set the next recurrence to today.

EDIT: Changing to 5 stars, turns out you can set up gCalendar sync, you just have to do it using the online client.

Original review: great software, highly customisable and it can be synchronized with other devices and includes a browser extension.

my only concern is that it sorely needs calendar connection so you could sync events with your Google calendar.

except that, excellent app.

Very enjoyable and intuitive software!

Completing a task is satisfying, and the app is really effective at reminding me of my chores for the day.

It is also wonderful at organizing my tasks, and I appreciate the option of adding a task to the Inbox – a nice method to still contribute anything without the immediate requirement to file it under a category.

One issue I have is on Wear OS: on my Fossil Gen 6 (Wear OS 2), scrolling with the rotating crown produces a frenzy of vibration causing the program to freeze.

Please solve this!

I periodically look out other list tools, buy come back to this one.

The complete UI works excellent, however the widget doesn’t function that well on Android 12 – it acts significantly better on my tablet stuck on Android 10.

On my phone it often double/triple reloads, and some reloads merely spin till launching the app.

Plus, either owing to that or having a smaller phone, I generally fail trying to mark the completion bubble.

The approach to transfer a task to a different Project from the search results is opaque – as detailed in the developer’s answer here, it requires scrolling a list that gives no visual sign it may be scrolled.

In other circumstances, swiping the task right offers a Move option; unfortunately, as is customary with Microsoft, the way to move a task in the search results doesn’t match how it works in other contexts, and isn’t evident at all.

I was seeking for an app that retained my to do list untill accomplished and thought I’d give this one a try.

Install it, log in with Google, first thing it shows; my thesis as task for 2018.

Well I’m confident the app does what I am searching for.

I’m currently experiencing trouble with the widgets.

When I click any button on the task widgets it does not bring up any main application or options panel, it was operating like yesterday and abruptly stopped working now.

I attempted to uninstall and add back the widget and restart my smartphone but the problem still persists.

It does not influence too much on using the app but now I have to find my program in my folder instead of click it from the home screen.

Bit inconvenient 🙁

I really like the structure of the app. I was looking for something that would reinforce deadlines and having the widget on my homescreen, and the fact that it doesnt get rid of overdue assignments helps me so much. Edit: the suggestion helped! Thank you!! [the widget doesn’t update the day / what is due today unless I open the app or the widget settings]

prevuously I would have given this app 1000 stars… I love this app but it just updated and now the widget isn’t functional.. I’ve been using this app for years and never had a problem.. I’m very sad about this.. This app has been so beneficial to me and having the widget made my life easier and was a good reminder that I had stuff to do.. now I have to rewire my brain to actually open the app instead of just seeing it on my home screen… Also the view all isn’t working for me..Todoist is legitimately my favorite to do list app I have ever used. It’s what makes me aware of everything of what’s going on or what I don’t. I have a suggestion though. Can ya’ll add a days/hours/mins away due feature where you can keep in track of how much time a task has left until due? That’ll be great!

Overall this is an amazing app. I have a suggestion though, google calendar has two types of notifications. Default notification, default notification for full day event. Todoist is currently only taking default notification in account when google calendar integration is setup. In todoist, an event with only date should be considered as full day event and when syncing full day notification setting should be applied. If an event has date too, default event notification setting should be used.

This is my all time favorite calendar app. The amount of customizability along wif the fluidity of the app is wonderful. I use this for mostly for school work, as well as other odd reminders and it really helps.

It’s a fantastic software ive been using for a long! but only 4 stars coz I’m not enjoying the recent update with the assignee function. I don’t like that there are question marks all over the place merely because I can’t assign tasks in my private projects 🙁

Quick and reasonably straightforward to use. Due dates for repeating activities can be a bit problematic. No built in means to examine completion metrics of recurring tasks, although it can be done using ifttt.

If there was a tab or means to evaluate what tasks we performed at the end of the week that would be fantastic. I have a recurrent weekly job of “review week”. Having this capability at weekly and maybe even monthly would benefit significantly with self reflection!
