Other than few little flaws, the launcher is quite convenient to use. The calendar widget doesn’t show Tasks or Reminders from Google calendar, therefore it’s completely worthless for me even if I would like to use it very much. Also opportunity to apply a backdrop to the new clock widget would be wonderful. Another issue is if I enable prevent modification, it wouldn’t show app menu like the “info” button so that I can quickly access to applications information page. A nice launcher with tons of customizability. Only issue, which it loses a point over is that you can’t drag and drop icons to make a folder and instead have to hit ‘create empty folder’ which is buried behind a menu that you can reach by long-pressing an empty space on the home screen… Not too tough to get to, but a lot of my clients are older, and so doing it this way is confusing and more difficult for them. Reluctant to change but pleased I did. The free edition doesn’t limit the customization possibilities for what counts, including interface colors, fonts and icons. It’s incredibly easy to use & entertaining to personalize. I could have stopped personalizing 30 minutes in, but I spent a couple hours upgrading my phone cuz that’s just how I am. I wanted to just test it out & ended up getting the premium edition for even more organizational possibilities. Love it, worth it. Glad I made the transition. Smart Launcher does all the things that I require, and for free. It has a very clean and easy to browse design and the app drawer folders are a huge upgrade over the standard Pixel 6 experience. I’m using the free version, but intend to purchase the premium lifetime version ($15) as long as there are no glitches. I can definitely see myself wanting this UI on every phone I purchase in the future. Update: I paid premium to assist the dev team, and don’t regret it. Great work! I wanted to give it 4 – or 4.5 stars if it was possible – but there are a couple factors that prevented me from doing that. One is that the Search page doesn’t update based on most recently opened applications, therefore there are certain apps I don’t use anymore but that I used for a while that still remain as a top option. The other point is that the Search Index might very easily be like a scroll bar in the apps page like some other launchers instead of a dedicated page for each alphabet. It’s an incredible app. I adore it. Some aspects need to be worked upon though; example when you hide applications, there’s no motion or move to access hidden apps in the launcher, instead, I have to unhide them to access. Since my last observation, I noted that nothing has been done, not even a reaction to my comment or any action made in the line of my observation. You bring updates, what’s wrong if this is also looked in to. Hidden applications should be available without the need to unhide them. Best Launcher Ever! Probably one of the few applications that I paid to upgrade to premium and it’s completely worth it. Just a thought but, I hope there’s a reverse sort option so that we can sort by app usage and the most used applications will end up on the bottom (near to the thumb hehe) instead of the top. Edit 30 June 2023: Update broke double tapping on screen to turn off screen. I REALLY like this Launcher. I claimed before that it had troubles with gesture based navigation but turns out it was MIUI’s fault more than anything else. SL6 is also great. I use Icon Studio all the time and it integrates nicely. The enhanced customization as compared to SL5 is also excellent. I have both installed on separate devices. SL5 is on a Galaxy Tab 2 running Android 6. Tried activating my Pro purchase there but as it’s no longer supported, regretfully I can’t do it. Love the functionality and UI of this launcher! Got the premium upgrade to support future development of this project. Some input I have is the fluidity of the UI while moving between homescreens and widgets has to be sorted out, otherwise, it’s a wonderful experience. I ended up acquiring the premium version and after the new improvements I doubt I’ll ever use another launcher again. It’s stable, fast,and offers the finest functionality of any launcher I’ve ever used. I would certainly recommend purchasing the premium version but the free version is very amazing too.Edit: Still the finest launcher there is, but it’s time to put AI into smart search, and if you could match Niagara’s icon pack management and the pop up alerts on the home screen, Smart=GOAT😃 Best launcher I’ve ever used! And I’ve used a lot. Simple, minimalistic (if you want it to be) and beautifully designed. Only enhancement may be getting 3rd party widget to correctly match up to the grid structure.
