I always have Shazam on all my phones.Â
Best app to recognize music.Â
Few points for it:Â
Positive: It features lyrics that pop up and play with select tunes.Â
It contains a direct link to Apple Music so as to go right to the music to download it.Â
It may be put as a button on the side of your screen for easy access.Â
Negative: RARELY, it does not identify the music.Â
Over-all 9/10Â
Would Highly Recommend.
it works most of the time, however there are a few situations where it can’t get tell the tune or it confuses it for something entirely else.Â
Plus, trying to do it offline won’t always give you the song when you go back online.Â
Other than those few situations, it works wonderfully and has helped me identify some of my new favorite tunes.
Love Shazam.Â
Recognises all the tunes I aren’t sure of.Â
It struggles if there are other noises present, it isn’t loud enough or the quality is bad.Â
Love the way it retains my results.Â
You may also search the artist to explore additional tracks & listen a sample.Â
My only critiqu would be an option to sort the results into folders, rather than having a bulk list i.e. 70’s, 90’s, sound tracks, etc.Â
I suppose thats my only issue as I can picture the list might get quite big if used a lot i.e. every day.
Amazing app.Â
I’ve been using it since March of 2020 and have found 328 songs.Â
However one problem for me is that when you open the app, it already starts recording your mic even before you click the button so like if im viewing a video and a song that I like shows up, it can hear the section before the real song and provide false results.
Incredible app, discovers tunes that other apps don’t really know how to find.Â
I’d propose giving a better approach to review the app because it’s such a great sensation after finding a music you were seeking for.Â
I had to hurry to the app store and hunt for it to write this review. 😋Â

Overall good.Â
I simply don’t like that it only provides me apple play music as a choice to play/hear the songs while I’m an android.Â
Also, at the present it does a pretty fantastic job on recognizing the music but when you go back maybe after a week or so, the info is no longer there.
Great software, however, the updates widget is now rather bothersome.Â
They lowered the size for some reason and they’ve removed the image which tells that the program is presently working on finding your music.Â
Why….!Â
If it ain’t broken why attempt amd fix it.Â
I’m betting they got bored and wanted to change something to keep it “new” so please restore the widget back to the original layout and find another way to “upgrade” it without taking away the aspects that made it excellent in the first place.
I feel as though it’s capacity to locate music has not improved.Â
I appreciate that it instantly generates a playlist of the Shazam music in spotify.Â
Whenever I wear headphones it does NOT pick up music, it used to but now never does.Â
Also , if I listen to music on Shazam it just garbles the audio and I have to force stop the app.Â
I’m on a Note20 rn.
I’ve been using Shazam for around 12 years.Â
I’ve never even tried a different app.Â
I don’t use it every day yet it has never failed me.Â
My favorite thing is when lyrics are provided so I can hear a song, Shazam it, and sing along with it right away.Â
*update: it eventually struggled to find an abstract mashup/remix, but it automatically widened the search 2 other ways and then found it.Â
This software is an amazing staple!
Quick and effective, this program can detect what music is being played within a handful of seconds.Â
Their music catalog is huge and encompasses genres from rap to rock, classical to the blues, symphonic works to recent hits.Â
Shazam is simply a must have for music fans, or those who just want to know what song is being played.
