Been using this for almost a year now, it’s honestly fantastic. The “pro” is a terrific price, there are a ton of possibilities for customization, and it’s incredibly easy to install icon packs. It produces a new version of app icons if they don’t have a version in their collection. 11/10 would recommend. Pretty nice little app for people looking to modify their mobile experience. I just have one major criticism; I wish there were greater search options, such as the ability to search icon packs by color. Searching by “Most Popular” doesn’t assist me all that much when I’m looking for packs that suit a certain theme, and searching “red,” for instance, just gives me packs with the word “red” in their titles. If we could just search by color, this software would be so much more convenient! Overall this is an excellent resource to locate and make any sort of icon you need. My main difficulty is the fact that you can not back up your library. I had to purchase a new phone, my library did not transfer over, nor was I able to back it up anyplace to import it into my new phone. I wish they would add that functionality or at least maintain your library tied to your account, so it loads on whichever device you switch to. I tried this earlier and I wasn’t entirely thrilled with how some of the more complicated icons were handled. I know that those weren’t going be simple to deal with to begin with, but yet, something about the consistency I didn’t enjoy. However, this software is wonderful for designing non-distracting, minimalist icons. I’m using this currently with a list-based launcher to “remove” icons totally. Works perfectly. Fairly easy to use and I appreciate how it outputs the icon pack so it’s in a format that your launcher works with Pros: This is the ONLY icon pack that changes EVERY. SINGLE. ICON. nor Samsung’s theming, nor any unique launcher icons – nothing alters all icons (excluding shortcuts) like this! Purchasing provides up more theming opportunities (two edge sword). Cons: updating icons needs a separate download & installation. Every. Single. Time. Even if you’re switching to icons previously used. There has to be a better way to accomplish this. The construction tool isn’t user pleasant & it isn’t even compatible with the launcher AD (yes, even after buying) shoehorned in with each download. Overall this is an excellent icon theming tool, but not worth the purchase, particularly if they still thrust adverts your way AFTER buying Works excellent for mass-changing icons, I’m usually indecisive on what I want my icons to look like thus an app like this that enables me to alter them rapidly is helpful. Some parts look to be malfunctioning (inner shadow being the most obvious), and I wish there were more options (custom filter colors for pro would be fun), but it works fine for what it is. This is one of the greatest applications ever. All my applications are themed. I built a Tron inspired icon set that’s gorgeous. But I detest how choosing colors by wallpaper doesn’t let you select any one specific hue from the palette. I also wish it had some example icon themes preloaded so you could see how they are developed, to help inspire others and gain a better grasp of how the software works. Still, this is great! I experienced an issue with a recent upgrade that limited the ability to export the new pack as an APK. They responded to me with legitimate explanations for the upgrade. As well as a roadmap ahead to get around the issue. Sorry for the angry original review, but thank you for setting me straight! Had a difficulty, but it’s been resolved. To be able to use this app with any launcher other than Smart Launcher, I had to add Icon Studio Pack Explorer. This is not found on Google Play Store. It states this app may damage your smartphone. I guess that’s because it is an APK program and doesn’t come through Google Play, thus we are discouraged from using it. I personally haven’t experienced any troubles. after a lot of searching, eventually came found this app which not only had a fantastic assortment of community-made icon packs but also highly user friendly UNTIL the recent update where it opted to not support 3rd party launchers, wrecking the full experience. i suggest the programmers to go into this problem. EDIT: recently received an update, it is now compatible with Nova launcher. Is there a method to edit the text of the icon? For example for the bank of america app, how do I make an icon that has simply “BAC” shown on the icon? By default, the complete text “Bank of america” is utilized if I pick the textual icon.
