I enjoy using the app and find it a very easy and useful tool. In my opinion, it has great quality for being free, compared to some other free drawing apps. Edit: Lowering my rating because lately I’ve been getting more annoying kinds of ads rather than the normal decent ones. They are usually only after I close the drawing. They take up the whole screen and you have to wait until you can close them, and when you close one, another ad opens, two or three times.
Disappointment. I have been using this app for over 8 years and it has worked well. I’ve been feeling out of control lately. I can barely draw anymore because it keeps freezing and then closing the app. Which most of the time deletes or destroys my artwork, forcing me to sit for an hour to restore it. I take 15-25+ hours each. I’m losing a lot of progress. I may be switching to another app as this is too much of a problem at the moment.
I love Ibis Paint X! It’s a nice app and I really like it, but there are some small, tiny little problems. I’ve had Ibis Paint X years and I STILL don’t know how the hell it works. It’s great, but complicated. And maybe there’s a little too much pen pressure on the pens/brushes etc. But maybe I could adjust it and I’m just stupid, or maybe Ibis Paint X needs some fixing.
This app is amazing!! I love art and this gave me a nice easy way to do detailed digital art. WITHOUT PAYING A PENNY!!! Unlocked each brush for 18 hours after watching ONE 30 second ad. It gives you a tutorial as you go instead of all at once which is very nice. Some things you have to play around with and figure out, but I’m fine with that! Overall I love this app, I never leave reviews if that tells you anything.
Well, I love this app. But with more and more recent updates it has become much more buggy! Does it fall off more often and can it leave random squares every time I use an eraser or brush? Sometimes it’s a square from commercials? And it still ruins my art! Is there any way to update these 2 issues? If it goes away I will update it to 5 stars. Thank you! Update: Looks like it’s gone! 😀
I have learned a lot by using this app. and I wouldn’t want to be without it. I use it for a variety of things, and as a professional artist in spectacular murals, I never thought of using digital art to improve my skills, but this app allowed me to incorporate a digital image with a traditional painting. Especially when creating presentations for clients. It’s fun, easy and allows you to go above and beyond.
The new features really help someone who doesn’t know how to draw poses, a lot of the filters are also updated which is great. Certainly not only for drawing, but also for editing. Also AI super resolution feature helps me to get HD quality photo without wasting my storage anymore. So when I post it, it stays in that state, perfect.
I’ve been using and enjoying Ibis Paint for years and I’m glad it’s doing so well~ One small thing that bugs me though is that when I watch speed paint the video freezes (but still plays) when the navigation bar disappears. As soon as I tap the video to return it, the video image catches up to what it should be showing. Everything is up to date so not sure why this is happening 0:
I absolutely love this app. It’s the only drawing app I’ve ever used and found a use for. The only thing I could ever ask for, and that’s just for personal gain, is the option of a folder to organize all the works into. I have dozens of different canvases with varying degrees of completion and it would be great to put them in a different category or folder so I know they are completely complete. I can’t recommend this app more for both finger and apple pencil drawers. I like the app 🙂
I love this app! It is very easy to learn and use and so simple for such advanced drawing tools. The things I don’t like is the fact that you can’t make brushes without using an existing brush. I think there should be a better way to create brushes, for example you can add a “save as brush file” button to your drawing and you can import that brush file and use the brush. I also don’t like how there are ads every time I exit the drawing. I’m done with the drawing and I get a 30 second commercial!!!
