Review:

This is a fun trip down memory lane. It’s nostalgic and the graphics are slightly better than the OG, but it’s mostly the same. It’s everything you’d expect from a remake of an old mobile game. I would give it five stars, but Rockstar games should really fix the driving issue. Cars, motorbikes basically every vehicle drives terribly. It does not have a sharp response and falls like a block. This issue has been discussed on Reddit for a while, but I’m surprised it hasn’t been resolved. Anyway, it’s fun
The game worked great. I have never had issues with bugs or crashes on the pixel 6 pro. Shooting is challenging for mobiles but it has auto aim and fire feature which made it easy to play. The cars are a bit slower, but if you change the frame limiter they go a bit faster. Other than that, it was a nostalgic experience.
Done. I worked 38 hours on this game and I have to thank Rockstar for releasing these three classics on Android. So much nostalgia! Radio stations! Nothing has changed. It works well. Yes, the auto aim of the fire is a bit bad, but it doesn’t affect the gameplay. It’s not like Vice City is difficult to combat. You get used to it. I had a problem with distance pull that I also had to survive. Otherwise very well adapted to the phone. I liked it and now to: San Andreas!
I’ve always really enjoyed GTA and was so excited to see it on the App Store. My problem is the lag in the game, it is so slow that I really struggle to complete some missions, especially the 3 minute boat race. Unfortunately, I’m stuck now because I’m unable to complete the challenge. Other than that, really great game and nice graphics.
the game worked perfectly, it was a nice experience on mobile, buuuuut… dodo dildo mission it doesn’t work. the plane can’t pick up speed in the water so I can’t finish (I need it to unlock the last mission 🙄). I tried changing the display frequency in the options and changing the frame rate to off in the game settings but nothing works. unfortunately it’s an old bug from the PC version…
This game is absolutely great for gamers who crave a bit of nostalgia. A few players have experienced several technical issues that can affect the game, such as speedboats slowing down and the dodo seaplane. To solve these problems, change the “fluidity of movement” of the device from adaptive to standard. This will change your device from 120Hz to 60Hz. This will fix the above issues as this game was not designed to run at a higher level.
The game can be choppy from time to time, but that’s to be expected from an old PC game. I found some animation issues like the vehicles, especially the bigger ones like the planes, tanks and the Apache helicopter. The controls are a bit buggy, usually varying depending on what you’re doing. Despite these minor setbacks, it’s been years since I played the original, and I have to say, they’ve done a really amazing job porting the game, which is pretty much the same as the older version in every aspect.
What to complain about? One of the best GTA titles flawlessly ported to mobile. The touch controls work well (although the absence of a jump button in favor of double tapping the sprint button to jump is a downgrade in my opinion). Any issues I had were issues you could find on any other platform the game was released on. No ads or in-game purchases (this game was originally released in 2002) and just a great game in every way.
The draw distance for vehicles is insanely low even at max, and even zooms look blocky regardless of resolution or detail settings. Gaming on the s8 which is by no means new but more than capable of playing this game on higher settings without breaking a sweat. The app definitely needs an update. San Andreas has a similar problem, but not as bad. 3 seems to run best.
Would give it 5 stars because it’s all there, the whole game with clunky graphics and hilarious npc in all its glory, just like it used to be back in the day. My only issue is the dynamic camera controls. Not being able to control the camera all the time and the controls are a bit clunky, leading to some frustrating moments when trying to navigate the map. But for the fact that it’s a mobile game, it’s worth the money.
A truly incredible game that is now incredibly available on your phone. From what I have experienced, every aspect of the original product is present. Graphics are very good for phone gaming with no noticeable lag or glitches. If someone had told us 18 years ago when we were plugging in our Playstation 2 that we would now be playing a game on a mobile phone, our heads would have exploded. Fantastic job!
