An option to turn off HDR processing is essential. Not every people wants their photo to be treated like this. And human skin tone requires improvement. Its ok before clicking the photo but after processing it transformed to an unpleasant kind (Though it has been corrected following march update). So please preserve the natural skin tone which is exhibited during photo capture after processing. Update : (for version after june 23 feature drop) Palm shutter doesn’t always function. It should be more responsive. Auto focus is faulty, necessary to wait pair second but even then the fuzzy photographs may be shot. Video misses several frames, in every setting – 30fps, 30fps HDR, 60fps. Video takes a bit more frames after the stop button is clicked, so it captures the moment the phone is moving away from the filming scene. This is new cons I trust they’ll fix them. The application is great, providing the finest camera experience and quality in Android world. Generally decent and I’m delighted with most photographs and the video is outstanding quality. But it would be fantastic if we could pick the degree of post processing because a lot of people aren’t thrilled with the amount of processing and I would agree, coming from a Sony Pro-i phone that may have somewhat lacked fine detail but at least the photographs from it always looked natural. Best “Daily Driver” picture app. It is restricted as far as sophisticated functionality, but that doesn’t appear to be the purpose here. Can I occasionally capture better images with other camera apps, given enough time? Yes. But this is fast, accurate, and easy in practically all circumstances. It is always the app I open if I don’t want to miss stuff. I’m just rating this since it has such a low star rating. The problem is that users only rate the camera app when it doesn’t work. For me, this camera app has been a terrific experience and I only wish that I could obtain it on iPhone also. All of the fascinating features like as astrophotography, night sight, panoramas, picture spheres, the editor, magic eraser, and the photo processing all make this a clear 5-star app. Using this on a Google Pixel 6. Maybe that matters because I adore my camera! But it looks like most don’t. 🤷 Everyone usually remarks how wonderful my shots come out and end up comparing it to their iphones. Haha! I feel like I have a ton of control on lighting, color, and focus while shooting images and they come out just way I intended them to. This is coming from somebody who used to be a professional photographer. I’m an Instagram photographer who recently moved from my beloved OnePlus 7 Pro to the Pixel 7 Pro, having heard it boasts the greatest camera for photography. However, now that I’m using it, doubts are seeping in. My concern rests in its post-processing. In optimum lighting, it seldom falters, but when presented with hard settings, the post-processing typically detracts from the image’s quality. Even if the viewfinder catches a great photo, we could use more control over HDR settings…. To say Google knows what they’re doing genuinely is an understatement. They are constantly two steps ahead of the competition and the improvements are always more than simply “bug fixes!” Highly suggest, two thumbs up, and I’m a major lover of Google stuff. It started with the Pixel 2, then the 3, and now the Pixel 6 Pro and the cameras are one of the key reasons I continue to stick with the Pixels. I’ve created a lot of believers with the photographs I take. Pixel 4a user here. This is an extremely strong camera app that makes it easy to capture amazing photographs. There are many of different options to select from so you can obtain the perfect photo. In addition, everything is straightforward to use. The reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is that the picture processing is a bit too much. I also wish there was a pro mode so the expert users may manually modify each option. This would also be beneficial for individuals who don’t like the picture processing. Decent camera but with the previous update many of images are appearing fuzzy and grainy and when you zoom in past x3 it applies some kind of AI filter which makes the image look like a painting or something. I have been utilizing the RAW photographs but it only adds another step when you have to edit them in Snapseed before you can post them. Hopefully future upgrades will solve these concerns out.
