REVIEW :
This app is a fantastic method to learn a language in a fun and quick way, however the tiny problem is the pronouncation of the AI voice, it simply occasionally doesn’t pronounce what’s displayed on the screen, I am presently studying Korean and sometimes the voice’s pronouncation is odd.Â
And the second point is offering the !meaning of the words, I think it should give the meaning of every word instead of simply showing the meaning when the student is completing the “select the proper letters/words”.
If I go different applications throughout the class (I like to check the dictionary while learning), the commercial at the conclusion of the session never shows up, the app stalls on blank screen and needs restart.Â
If I don’t switch, the ad works perfectly.Â
It’s a 100% rule.Â
Also speaking exercises still don’t work for months!Â
When I tap to talk, an error happens instantly.Â
Microphone authorization is obtained.Â
Please solve these problems!Â

Overall the information and learning examples are good.Â
After a recent layout update it is practically hard to make out what themes are in the current lesson tier other than general sketch, going back and revisiting lessons you have done is equally tough if you want to revise a specific topic.Â
Also there is some type of experience points system to assist monitor your progress, it used to be useful but now the system seems to just flip a coin to decide whether or not to update.
Great app.Â
Really useful, making learning entertaining.Â
The only thing that would make it better is being able to store lessons to finish when offline – I would spend hours on Duolingo on lengthy planes and other locations without signal if I could.Â
EDIT: I truly despise the latest updated version of the app.Â
It seems fine, however I find it as a neverending list and it is quite disheartening.Â
I truly hope the earlier style layout may make a return.
I still find the program highly beneficial since my English proficiency has so drastically increased.Â
I just don’t like the new version, I was already at level eight, two levels shy of the finish of the course when the change to the new version occured.Â
If I feel angry about this, I just can’t think what the other people would be experiencing right now notably those who were almost done with the course they were taking.Â
I hope Duo will be able to handle this crucial issue!
Really helped me with school work and is also plain fun!Â
The new layout change is bad though.Â
The premise is fine but it forces you execute it in the sequence it decides.Â
In the former edition I could be studying a few subjects at once; I could be learning about Grammer, people and sport at the same time but that option doesn’t exist now.Â
I have the enhanced version but before I got it I wouldn’t get much practice done because I had just 5 errors.Â
Very excellent app nonetheless!
Very nice extra practice for a Spanish course.Â
It is very useful if one takes the time to repeat the lines vocally along with the recordings.Â
Most foreign language courses in school do not give adequate language lab time.Â
It is somewhat monotonous because they workout you forwards and backwards and then make you repeat what you missed.Â
It is extremely good workout for the brain and makes it much simpler to actually be able to acquire fluency.
