I’ve been using it for several years now on several phones, including my new Galaxy S23 Ultra, and it works great!
Many complain about the lack of features, but that has a lot to do with permissions and how many things are locked down if your device isn’t rooted. My only gripe is that no matter what settings I choose, it won’t record the other side of calls if an external Bluetooth device is used. To allow the system microphone to pick up audio, you need to select the phone’s speaker in the dialer. I believe this is more of a hardware issue than anything else.
This was the only app that allowed me to record calls on my Samsung s10e in Europe while all other Android apps and methods fail. Calls are a little distorted with the “call louder” option, but when I turn it off, calls are clearer. I can amplify them on the computer if I have to. Edit: still working perfectly. can’t be without this app.
Still the best way to record calls that I know of – and I appreciate you trying to record calls with the Android changes that went into effect (with Android 12? I can’t remember, off the top of my head). If you guys can find a way to record calls from the headset, I’d really use that feature – having both hands free when I’m on the phone (and not trying to puzzle multiple callers with archaic ~10kb/s quality) is a new and wonderful thing for me.
Very pleased. It records my calls very well and is easy to use. UPDATE: a few months ago the app stopped working. No warning so I didn’t record the calls I needed to record. I have now deleted the app. This seems to have happened to others as well. Does anyone know why? ANOTHER UPDATE: after following the developer’s instructions, the app is now working again. Installation is a bit cumbersome, but it’s necessary due to Google’s privacy policy (I know, very ironic…). So thanks Cube!
It seems to record most of the conversations. If they added a little explanation of what/how the “phone recording sound source” works, it would give it 5 stars. Until then, I’m just testing each one. I have a Galaxy Note 9 and after a few clean installs of Cube ACR and its helper I was able to do this. Now it works flawlessly and I have updated my review. Thank you for being a great representative/engineer and helping me solve my problem.
Works great so far. Lots of options to play with. The app guides you through the setup, explaining things well. The sound clarity of the recorded calls is great. Nothing groundbreaking is happening. Very impressed! I also like how the app clearly states why it needs the individual permissions granted on your phone and what it will be used for and why certain settings need to be adjusted. UPDATE – 07/25/23 Upgraded to a Galaxy S21, which required installing a helper app as a workaround for tighter Google security settings. It works!
It will not record the other side of the phone call if any Bluetooth headset is connected on your side. This is very frustrating as I almost never use the handset to make calls. Is there any way to fix this situation? Edit and add: I’ve read a lot about this situation and how it’s handled in other recording apps. Can you recommend any external links that might work around the situation?
It works for a Sony Xperia 1 III with Android 13. It records my voice and the other party’s voice very well (but the conversation volume has to be at max, so it screams a bit too much in my ear). Very good app. I recommend it. And almost no ads. It will record the conversation and save it with the name of the contact you spoke with or their phone number if they are not in your contacts.
I just can’t sing the praises of this lovely little app. I will NOT even try anything else.. You rock. It works 100% on my Redmi Note 10 Pro. Almost a year since I downloaded this app and I haven’t even bothered to try another one. I thought it was too good to be true, but this app exceeded my expectations. Keep up the good work guys..Also try to add more features to the premium app to make it worth the upgrade.
