I’m rating it four stars because I believe the app is perfect, but it has *many* bugs. However, none of the lingering glitches were too annoying. Many problems can be solved by force stopping the application. Still, it can be frustrating at times. Still, the content is great. I hope for more features in the future.
I have been using this app for years. It’s the only app besides Spanish Dictation that I’ve stuck with because it’s really incredible and does exactly what it says. I literally had access to Spanish materials, improved my Spanish and never had any technical issues! It is much easier to remember vocabulary with context. Thanks for this awesome app!
Wide variety of texts, lots of stories to read, the Russian one is great, if you get the annual membership, it’s actually quite cheap to access advanced level content, highly recommended
I really enjoy this app. It is very nice and useful. I subscribed to a 7-day premium trial and have a lot of options to choose from in filters like classic, adventure and more. I like to listen while reading and repeat as many times as I want. Includes Arabic language with English. Also vocabulary, it also helps to improve English, but the problem is the cost of annual and monthly subscriptions.
Interesting idea for an app, well done. To my surprise, this app is pretty cool and has a lot to offer (btw you have to pay a bit). I feel like the read-aloud feature will really get you familiar with words from other languages enough to add them to your vocabulary. The only downside would be that it’s definitely not the easiest for beginners and you’ll need to know a bit of the language beforehand (I’d say not a lot, just the bare minimum).
Excellent application. The diction of the narrators is clear and well-paced. Not too fast and not too slow. The various features in this app, such as the control that allows you to play stories one short part at a time, are really useful. I also really like having the English translation right under the target language, so I can instantly get a translation of unfamiliar words and phrases. 5 stars from me!
It’s a good app, but I’d like to be able to tap on a word to translate it. Also, not having dark mode as a freebie is quite a turn off for me as I find it hard to read without it. Edit: Due to the first signup sale that happens at the beginning of getting the app, I decided to get a membership and I’m very happy with it. However, I would like the pages to change to orange or black for nighttime reading as I still struggle with the white background as only the outside of the book changes.
The best language app I’ve ever downloaded! I like to learn by reading, with context, but once you don’t have a good level of the language, it still makes you stop, every time you interrupt, you check the dictionary. But in the app you have a device that shows you the same text in the language you know and audio help in both languages that you can mix and match as you want, so it’s possible to keep learning and practicing the skills you want. I find it really useful and enjoyable 🙂
