I really enjoy this app. It is very nice and useful. I subscribed to a 7-day premium trial and have a lot of options to choose from in filters like classic, adventure and more. I like to listen while reading and repeat as many times as I want. Includes Arabic language with English. Also vocabulary, it also helps to improve English, but the problem is the cost of annual and monthly subscriptions.
I guess it’s ok… But the microphone function basically never works and it’s driving me crazy. I’m currently in trial, but if you expect me to pay for your app, it better work as it should…
Interesting idea for an app, well done. To my surprise, this app is pretty cool and has a lot to offer (btw you have to pay a bit). I feel that the read-aloud feature really gets you familiar with words from other languages enough to add them to your vocabulary. The only downside would be that it’s definitely not the easiest for beginners and you’ll need to know a bit of the language beforehand (I’d say not a lot, just the bare minimum).
Sometimes simple ideas are the best. I’m sure everyone can find some interesting stories or news to read and listen to. They are sorted by difficulty and topics. It is easy. Sentence-by-sentence audio reproduction has problems. But paragraph by paragraph works fine. Marking words as vocabulary is also a good feature. And I don’t want to miss the selectable speed. To learn a language, you have to use it every day. This program offers exactly that. It’s motivating.
It’s a good app, but I’d like to be able to tap on a word to translate it. Also, not having dark mode as a freebie is quite a turn off for me as I find it hard to read without it. Edit: Due to the first signup sale that happens at the beginning of getting the app, I decided to get a membership and I’m very happy with it. However, I would like the pages to change to orange or black for nighttime reading as I still struggle with the white background as only the outside of the book changes.
I’ve been looking for a way to start reading in my target language as a complete beginner and this is it! Short stories and news articles with audio for most things. I find the narration to be fast so I just listen a few times and then slowly go through it line by line. It’s really fun and I’m already learning a lot. Although it says it’s “100% free”, which is a blatant lie because you have to pay to access most of the features…
Amazing mini side-by-side readings that are a unique and very useful way to really learn a new language outside of vocabulary lists. With the touch of a finger, personalized cards can easily be created. The variety of abridged reading material is great. One can often read again, that’s good! The news is great. I really loved the songs, but I was very disappointed that I could only access each song once. I hope it’s a mistake because one needs multiple times and repetitions to learn….
This is a very useful app for beginners and intermediate learners to read texts in their target language. I especially like that you can read the text. It helps me figure out how to pronounce new words. I also loved the latest feature where you can read the latest news in your target language. If you are a beginner or intermediate in a new language and need additional practice material, I definitely recommend it!
