I was impressed with Filmic Pro. I’m glad to purchase the app and an additional fee for the pro LUTs. I’m not happy with the subscription model, and I will not ever subscribe. I was extremely disappointed when the app was upgraded automatically to allow me to record new footage which is in reality useless without the subscription! Many hours of my time spent.

The new version of FiLMiC Pro is okay. It’s different from the old version. There’s no control of the torch lighting that is on the device. The design is an attractive idea, but it appears to be to be rushed. Like the different fonts utilized throughout the user interface. Additionally using the UI when in the manual setting could be quite invasive due to the bold digits and bold lines used for markers. Perhaps the lines and digits were toned down. Incorporate”PRO “Pro” BACK into the style in the UI.

Uneasy feelings, but nonetheless a solid application. The update did not inform customers that they were changing from a one-time purchase into subscription-based system and it possible to save any photo I took without having to pay more. However, I reached out to them and was able to tell me on how to download the old application, which I downloaded and that’s what I used. It’s worked for me, which is acceptable. I’m disappointed that they don’t provide a better method of alerting us. Overall, a fantastic application.

I am very pleased with it so far. I am using it with the S21 ULTRA. Excellent So Far. However , the graphics that appear on the screen ( numbers and letters) are all mixed up. It appears that they have problems fitting on the screen. ….Help You! ….Thank you for your help. ….Fixed it now you will get an extra star…lol . I’m not going to commit to a monthly subscription however. This will force me to change to something else.Ok So I did an update, and all the additional filters I bought at 2.99 each are useless. WHATS UP ?????? ?

I bought it a while time ago and was concerned that I might lose access as they changed to a subscription-based model however, the developers quickly responded and informed me that I could access my old paid version through the original application. If you paid in the past – you’ll be able access the functionality you had previously enjoyed via the legacy application. It’s a fantastic app I use it to create references to make animation.

I purchased the full version of the Pro version on an old phone a few months ago. I tried to download the old version for new phone through the “already purchased” option. ….get the message that it could not find an any active subscription on the device. Update: change from one to three stars. Customer service was able to help me install the older version. Now , I’m very worried that the old version could be obsolete in the near future.

I have been a satisfied user of Filmic Pro for many years and the latest V7 is definitely on a whole new level! It’s definitely worth the cost of a yearly subscription in order use it, even though V6( currently Legacy) was a perfect fit for me as well. Thank you to the developers for an outstanding job and an amazing product!

It’s a fantastic app but the interface could be improved a in certain situations, like when I decide to lock the orientation of the app to landscape, and I wish to delete a video however, the dialog box was too small, and I was unable to confirm deletion. I need to change to portrait orientation in order to remove the clip, which makes the option of locking orientation less effective. Also If I can I would like to keep the level controls for audio in presets, too. That would help.

This was an industry-standard application for mobile filmmaking, and for good reasons. Fantastic features and user-friendliness. A shame that they have switched to an annual subscription, for me personally, it’s not worth the cost, unfortunately.
