It’s nice but the features and the app itself seem to be intended to hit video only if it isn’t. I personally use the app by calling and the app can be simple. For example, it accesses or uses the camera when I click on someone and removing such features will save battery life. Use the camera only when making a video call. And you may want to make the call feature more accessible.
I have an exit camera. so when i open the Google duo app, my pop up camera opens and this app damages your pop up camera by turning it up and down. Suggestions: Google should have the option of securing the camera button similar to the camera you shot to reverse the camera switch button 🔘
Plz add text message option again. Also required for video calling application. Thank you. I wanted to use the Duo for all my family members. But I can’t! due to mIssing chat option.
The app is fine. Great for making phone and video calls, no problems there. The problem is that you are sending note messages. It may not bring it at all, or when it does, it may still load or darken as if it had been turned off. Sometimes when you write a note, it will try to make a video call instead. Please fix these issues as soon as possible.
I started by downloading this because it was part of Google Apps Suite. It helped when my boyfriend and I started talking. I had an iPhone and he had a Samsung. We loved chatting on video but did not have FaceTime. The camera quality of each call is good. I have never had a problem with disconnection of phones except that one of our phones is dead. Great app!
It keeps saying that my wifi signal is weak when it is not. This app is the only one you have ever complained about and you can not disable automatic switching to mobile data. I have no unlimited data to use. Every time I check my nest wifi signal is powerful with downloads of about 216 mbps and downloads of 14 mbps so why does this app complain about it? Maybe I should have said I had already done all the steps to solve the problem on all the help topics. They did not solve anything for me.
I have been using the Duo for a long time. Currently the Samsung S20 FE also did not have a single problem but I also used it on other types of phones without any problem. If four people complain about notifications, bright quality or app bugs is what leaves a response for you. I would recommend this any day of the week and use it often with all my family members.
I have problems getting a popup window to indicate if I leave an ongoing call. Its an amazing RNG chance, about 1/100 that it works. Other than that, the app works well. Edit: I tried the advice, it didn’t work. Find a way to do it, start a call, go to the app switch and swipe to remove the duo, launch it with notification, and then go to the home screen immediately. It always works this way.
I’ve had this app for a long time and it was fun at first. But for a long time now I have not had the ability to send video messages but I know video calls well. Oops! It’s just annoying at this point. Feedback from my review is not helpful. As I said in my review the video message no longer works so how do I make a video message when no one is holding my video call.I uninstalled and re-installed the app. I also make sure that all video, audio, and audio items are approved. I ask for help if possible
The reason I rated it 3 stars is because it has been a work in progress! Usually after each call made or received, I get a survey asking how the call went and how satisfied I am with the performance of the call and for each call I will have some sort of important episode of loosing signal, video exploding, shacky. receiving audio or frozen video
