I have the subscription because i exploit duolingo a day . For me, the subscription is worthwhile so I can make mistakes and still keep going. Duolingo has gotten tons better over the years. I’m on the 3rd section of French and may watch and obtain the gist of French TV, read basic French books, and even ask native speakers using other apps like HelloTalk. It’s fun and motivating, albeit there are not any stories, as there are in other modules. what’s missing may be a thanks to effectively work on productive language skills — more context and therefore the ability to reply instead of to parrot. Translation may be a very cumbersome and unnatural thanks to learn a language.
Used to be an excellent app. I could hop on and do several lessons during a row and truly learn material albeit I failed. Now i can not even complete one lesson after attempting several times with maybe four or five hearts whenever . the present setup makes no sense and looks like a money grab. Might also just get a book to find out the language you would like , it might be faster.

This app has really helped me, i wasn’t sure that i will be able to initially haha..cause i didn’t consider this as actually learning and took it as a game, until not goodbye after i noticed that i can perfectly remember most of the words and phrases that i’ve learned and it honestly kinda surprises me, due to that, now i actually am dedicated to find out more about languages, many thanks considerably for creating learning so accesible and fun. I’ve been using the app for an extended time, and that i have over 200 days of streak on German. The worst thing about Duelingo is that the heart system and therefore the constant ads. they’re really annoying, and it makes no sense. you should not have only 5 options to try to to mistakes… If you’re learning something for the primary time it’s clear that you’re going to do many mistakes. The ads are annoying af aswell. I understand, ads make money except for instance you’ll make them optional, and provides hearths/diamonds or sth like that??
It is such N amazing site to find out foreign languages sitting in our room. It gives us enough knowledge about the language we are learning. This app also includes the hindi language for them those do not know English. But the bad thing is that it force an individual for money. that point we are forced to subscription it and if we do not it’ll disturb us. Otherwise everything is well. many thanks to those that made this amazing app for us 😊
It’s pretty good. I’d provides it a 3.5 if I could. there’s no customer support, rather I’ve never gotten a reply to bugs within the app. Buying gems during a course freezes the sport and you break down . If you get a double XP item during a course, it auto-uses it which may waste it. Small things like that are annoying, among bigger bugs like audio misfiring. That said, I’ve put mant hours into this app and learned tons of french and it’s good for other languages too.
Duolingo has changed tons . It wont to be tons better before, being a very convenient and straightforward to use. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. tons of the features were locked behind a pay wall basically forcing you to shop for the premium version. If you’re getting to learn a language only using the free version of Duolingo, then you want to have many patience to continue. I’d say you’re more happy finding another learning app if you are looking for free of charge .
